En 1954 Johnny Burnette y Rock and Roll trío hicieron una versión más rockera.
The YardBirds en su disco Having a rave up de 1965 también hicieron su propia versión.
Led Zeppelin interpretaban Train Kept a rollin en directo en 1968 y en su gira europea en 1980.
Aerosmith grabó Train kept a rollin para su segundo álbum Get Your Wings publicado en 1974 y Live! Bootleg (1978), Classics Live (1986), y Rockin’ the Joint (2005).
Motörhead grabó una versión del tema en su primer disco de 1977.
Guns N’ Roses, junto a Steven Tyler y Joe Perry de Aerosmith, en París durante la gira Use Your Illusion Tour en junio de 1992 hicieron otra versión de Train kept a rollin.
Metallica, junto a Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Joe Perry (los tres habían interpretado la canción en el pasado), Flea, Ron Wood y su ex-bajista Jason Newsted, interpretó esta canción el año 2009, cuando Metallica fue introducido al Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
