El tema Manic Monday tiene una curiosa historia detrás y algo de leyenda.
El tema lo compuso Prince para en 1984 bajo el seudónimo de Christopher para su grupo Apollonia 6 e hizo una demo que no publicó.
Dos años más tarde trás encuchar en primer disco de The Bangles decidió ofrecerles el tema y ellas encantadas lo aceptaron e hicieron su propia versión que incluyeron en su segundo disco de 1986 Different Light que después resultó ser su primer gran éxito.
Esta cancón posteriormente ha sido varias veces versionada pero eso es tema para otro día.
